  Under the light of a setting sun, breaking through ruins and stone in its final moments, Medusa's story closes differently than it has been told for centuries. Not as the legend of a cursed being, but as the fate of a woman who suffered because of the decisions of those more powerful than herself. Her beauty captured Poseidon's attention, yet her refusal did not stop violence — and in the end, punishment did not fall upon the one responsible, but upon Medusa herself.

The vast weight of stone, broken architecture, and the heaviness of this space reflect the world she was cast into. A fractured male torso remains as a trace of the force that began her downfall, while the final living serpent preserves the last fragment of her presence, even as everything else fades. Each element carries the story of a woman whose suffering was transformed into condemnation.

This work was never about Medusa as a symbol of fear, but about the moment her story falls silent — after betrayal, after punishment — leaving only one lasting question: who was truly condemned?

  Pod světlem zapadajícího slunce, které na poslední chvíli prostupuje ruinami a kamenem, se uzavírá příběh Medusy jinak, než jak bývá po staletí vyprávěn. Ne jako legenda o prokleté bytosti, ale jako osud ženy, která doplatila na rozhodnutí mocnějších. Její krása upoutala Poseidona, odmítnutí však nezastavilo násilí a trest nakonec nepostihl viníka, ale ji samotnou.

Rozsáhlý prostor kamene, rozpadlé architektury a tíha celého místa odrážejí svět, do kterého byla vyhnána. Mužské torzo zůstává jako připomínka síly, která stála na počátku jejího pádu, zatímco poslední živý had zachovává stopu její existence i ve chvíli, kdy vše ostatní umlká. Každý prvek zde odkazuje k příběhu, ve kterém se z oběti stala vina.

Nešlo mi o Medusu jako symbol strachu, ale o zachycení okamžiku, kdy celý příběh dohasíná — v tichu, po zradě, po trestu, v místě, kde zůstává spíš otázka, kdo byl skutečně potrestán.
