My work is the result of disciplined practice that began with drawing and, over the years, developed into realist painting grounded in detail, light, and the specific possibilities of acrylic as a medium. Although the subjects of my work continue to evolve, my approach to their treatment remains consistent.

Each work begins with an idea that forms its true foundation. As I develop it, I look for the third side of the coin – the thin edge between two apparent points of view, separating them while also connecting them. I am interested in the relationships and connections that emerge when a single, unequivocal interpretation is no longer sufficient. From the first decision to the final detail, the initial idea determines the direction of the entire painting. Everything within the image has its place and meaning in relation to that central idea.

The painterly expression of my work draws on Baroque chiaroscuro, particularly through the use of light, contrast, and dramatic composition. When the nature of the subject allows, I often choose the male figure. Its anatomy offers me possibilities for working with dynamism, tension, and physical intensity without allowing the figure itself to become the sole subject of the work.

The structured frame, integrated directly into the canvas, is one of the defining features of my paintings. I see it as the boundary of my own pictorial world, enclosing the composition while also separating it from its surroundings. Its role extends beyond decoration and becomes part of the overall conception of the work. The combination of black and gold connects the frame with the motif and gives the work a distinct identity that has gradually become one of the recognisable features of my practice.

In 2009, I graduated from the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Valašské Meziříčí, specialising in glass art and design. The foundations I gained there were followed by many years of independent practice, through which both my painterly language and my way of thinking gradually took shape and now define the character of my work.

Moje tvorba je výsledkem disciplinované práce, která začala kresbou a v průběhu let se rozvinula v realistickou malbu založenou na detailu, světle a specifických možnostech akrylového média. Přestože se jednotlivé náměty proměňují, můj přístup k jejich zpracování zůstává konzistentní.

Každé dílo začíná myšlenkou, která představuje jeho skutečný základ. Při jejím rozvíjení hledám třetí stranu mince – tenkou hranu mezi dvěma zřejmými pohledy, která je odděluje a zároveň spojuje. Zajímají mě souvislosti, které se ukazují ve chvíli, kdy jednoznačný výklad přestává stačit. Od prvního rozhodnutí až po poslední detail určuje výchozí myšlenka směr celého obrazu. Vše v obraze má své místo a význam ve vztahu k výchozí myšlence.

Malířský výraz mých děl vychází z barokního temnosvitu, zejména z práce se světlem, kontrastem a dramatickou kompozicí. Tam, kde to charakter námětu dovolí, často volím mužskou figuru. Její anatomie mi nabízí možnosti práce s dynamikou, napětím a fyzickou intenzitou, aniž by se figura stala jediným nosným tématem díla.

Strukturovaný rám integrovaný přímo do plátna patří k charakteristickým prvkům mých obrazů. Vnímám jej jako hranici vlastního obrazového světa, která kompozici uzavírá a zároveň ji vymezuje vůči okolí. Nepředstavuje jen dekorativní funkci, ale stává se součástí celkového pojetí díla. Kombinace černé a zlaté propojuje rám s motivem a určuje výraznou identitu celku, která se postupně stala jedním z rozpoznatelných rysů mé tvorby.

V roce 2009 jsem absolvoval Střední uměleckoprůmyslovou školu sklářskou ve Valašském Meziříčí. Na získané základy navázala dlouholetá samostatná praxe, během níž se postupně ustálil můj malířský rukopis i způsob uvažování, který dnes stojí za podobou mých obrazů.
